Cometday is the daily leaderboard for new software that is worth using. Startups launch their SaaS, web apps and mobile apps here, people try them and upvote what they like, and the best rise to the top.

It is built for small teams and solo makers who made something real. They deserve a launch that is not buried under demos and experiments, so we keep those out.

The review

Every product is checked before it appears. It has to work, it has to be clear what it does, it has to look finished, and it has to solve a real problem well enough that people would use it every week. Open-source repositories, demos, games and hardware are not what Cometday is for. A product that does not pass gets the reasons and can be sent in again.

Besides what makers launch here, our editors add good new products launched elsewhere, after the same review. Their makers can claim the page at any time, and if you would rather not be listed, tell us and we take it down.

The ranking

Upvotes count the most: one account, one vote, and makers cannot vote for themselves. Thoughtful comments count too, and new launches get a head start on their first day.

Advertising

Makers can book a week in the Featured row, a sponsored row under the top three, or the top of a category. Those places are always labeled. We never sell a place on the leaderboard itself or a pass through the review.
